Jimmy Filingeri
Jimmy is a prominent figure in the world of baseball, known for his multifaceted roles and significant contributions to the sport. He is the former Head Coach of Lourdes High School's Varsity Baseball team. In his time at Lourdes, Filingeri was responsible for the rebuilding of the program, instilling a strong culture of sportsmanship, character, integrity, discipline, accountability, and player development. Under his leadership, the team regained its competitive edge and returned to prominence, reestablishing Lourdes as a respected program in the Hudson Valley baseball community.
Before Lourdes, Filingeri spent five seasons as the Head JV Coach at Archbishop Stepinac High School (CHSAA), where he helped guide the program’s player development pipeline and contributed to multiple playoff runs. In addition to his high school coaching career, he has coached travel ball, run youth clinics, and worked closely with athletes pursuing opportunities at the collegiate level.
His commitment extends beyond coaching. He actively participates in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Divisional Organization Youth Committee, where he contributes to shaping youth baseball programs and initiatives aimed at growing the game of baseball for Americas youth players.
Filingeri is also the creator and host of the Clearing The Bases podcast, a platform dedicated to meaningful conversations with coaches, players, and leaders across all levels of the game. The podcast reflects his passion for improving the culture of youth and high school baseball by emphasizing coaching education, player development, and building strong team environments.
